If it is cuban food you are wanting we have found the spot – Rincon Cubano on Country Club in Cape Coral. This little place is a true hidden gem. And the prices are right. Each item is authentic and cooked to order so make sure you have time to relax while you wait for your food.

A Cuban breakfast is $3.99 and includes 3 eggs, with choice of ham, bacon or sausage and cuban coffee with milk and toast.

Daily specials run $6.95. The day we were there it was roasted pig and it truly melted in your mouth. Other specials depending on the day may include Picadillo, Rabo Encendido (Oxtail Stew), Roasted Pork, Goat Stew, Congress Rojo (Red beans and white rice).

All appetizers are traditional from homemade turnovers to guava and cheese pastries.

The reason we went there though was for the cuban sandwich. The menu is long with 12 different items to choose from. There is pork, steak, chicken, and combo of pork, ham, swiss. The sandwiches are huge and cost between $3.50 and $5.95.

For dessert we had a coconut flan which was perfect for two. The place was packed  so counter seating is another option.
