Simple, yet elegant best describes Centrale Venice. We discovered this modern restaurant by accident and actually came back to this area twice because it was a short walk from Piazza San Marco. The menu was varied and offered a little bit of everything. What I love about the food prepared in Italy is that dishes are made simple, but the flavors are totally on point.

Pictured above is the filet with mushrooms and truffles for $29 euro. Veal, fried lamb ribs, chicken curry, veal Milanese and a variety of fried, baked and grilled fish dishes rounded out the main dishes. The menu also included soups, salads, appetizers, and pizza.

Since dining in Italy is an event. We figured out as we went along we could order a variety of items from the menu and eat family-style. Instead of the several courses at each setting. Prices started at $12 euro.
