Cranberry Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Flour, Sifted
  • 1/2 Tsp. Soda
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 Cup Sugar, Sifted
  • 1 Egg, Beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter, melted
  • 1/2 Cup Orange Juice
  • 2 Tbsp. Hot Water
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Nuts
  • 2 Cups Cranberries, Cut in Half
  • Grated Ring of one Orange

Instructions

  1. Sift dry ingredients.

  2. Add egg, butter, juice, and hot water and blend.

  3. Fold in nuts, cranberries, and rind.

  4. Bake in greased 9 x 5 loaf pan for 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

  5. Cool. Wrap in wax paper for 24 hours.
