An open grill mixed with an upscale white interior and neon mood lighting all add up to Blanc. The French chef uses a Robata grill which is cooking over hot charcoal, similar to barbecuing. Meat, seafood and vegetables are cooked on the special grill.
This quaint spot is located in Fort Myers at the corner of McGregor Blvd. and Cypress Lake Drive in Cypress Square, 13451 McGregor Blvd. With only 22 spots available, reservations are highly recommended.
The food is a unique blend of French, Asian and Latin influences. The menu offers appetizers like Artichoke Fritters, Oysters, and daily specials like a fresh made Burrata. There is a Caviar flight, salads, and the best French Onion Soup. The almost entrees are big enough for one or can be shared. Dinner highlights include: Five Spice Pork Belly, Chicken Confit, Wagu Sliders, Petit Filet Mignon, Lamb Lollipops. Fresh seafood flown in daily (my favorite is the Salmon Maltaise $20 it is grilled and topped with a heavenly Orange Blossom Hollandaise. There is also Grouper, Sushi, Prawn Skewers and Octopus.
Definitely find out what the specials are for the night. Pair your meal with a wine from the extensive wine list. The service is excellent. Your glass is never empty.
You can reserve Blanc for private parties. They do close for the month of September.
