Meet Chef Todd and his mom at Blaze Bistro in Cape Coral. Located in a strip just off Veterans and Santa Barbara Blvd., is an upscale restaurant with a lot to offer. They opened in November 2013 and since word has gotten out you almost always need a reservation. For starters, split a bowl of the thick creamy lobster bisque. A touch of sherry would make this soup even better. Dinner entrees range from homestyle goodness like mac and cheese and homemade gnocchi, lasagna, and more. Everything is made to order and arrives with an asian inspired flare. Seafood arrives everyday from Hawaii including ahi tuna. A favorite is the veal skirt steak served with truffle brown sauce and mushrooms over a bed of garlic mashed potatoes and mixed variety of julienne vegetables presented on a banana leaf. The meatloaf is a mixture of pork, beef, seasonings served with the truffle brown sauce and vegetable medley. Wine and beer available. More wine selections by the glass would enhance the dining experience. Check out the in house sangria. The menu is extensive. Check it out for yourself.
