Bistro 821 sandwiched between Chops and other eateries that dot the historic landscape of historic Olde Naples is where East meets West. White tablecloths, candles and beautiful artwork surround you as you dine. This is a hip and happening place. Start out with calamari, baked brie, crab dip or grilled jumbo prawns. Nut and berry, goat cheese, spinach and gorgonzola, market tomato, caesar and house round out your salad options. On the pasta selections try the seafood risotto chocked full of shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels and tomato concasse, basil and pecorino romano cheese. When ordering the risotto, remember to ask for extra cheese. It doesn’t hurt. Miso-sake roasted sea bass is the #1 seller. This filet is glazed in a miso-sake marinade and roasted. It is served with mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables. Under bistro favorites there is filet with bearnaise, grilled rib eye, flat iron steak rubbed with peppercorns and a brandy cream sauce, lamb rack from New Zealand, roasted duck, pot roast, free range chicken and a maple carmel drizzled pork chop. If you can’t decide, try smaller portions of two or three of the lobster tail, sea bass, snapper, prawns, and/or filet. This summer, you can pick two dinners and a select red or white wine for $32.95. Items include: angel hair pasta with mussels, creamy caprese risotto, stir fry, lemon and parmesan sole, chicken risotto, paella, meatloaf, crab cake, penne pasta with tenderloin tips.
