Serving up at Stage 62 Deli and Restaurant is a take on New York City appetites with deli traditions. Hot corned beef, pastrami, brisket. These sandwiches are called single stages on rye. There are the classics like West Side Story — hot corned beef or pastrami, cole slaw with Russian dressing. Or, Fiddler on the Roof — a New York nova cream cheese, tomato, onion on a bagel. Under moderns in the sandwich isle is The Pretty Woman, avocado, tomato, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing, grilled rye. Rachel is roasted turkey, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing, grilled rye. Salads include the classic cob, caesar, stuffed avocado with tuna or chicken salad. Under soups, try the motza ball. Sides include, cheese blintzes served with sour cream and blueberries, potato latkes with applesauce and sour cream, hash browns, potato salad, berries, coleslaw. Dishes are prepared in-house and from scratch. On the back wall, there is a take on Pittsbugh’s renown artist, Andy Worhol’s famous facial portraits of movie stars — a must see. Nestled between upscale clothing and boutique stores in Mercato, is this vibrant and hip Deli. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, happy hour and Sunday brunch. Beer, wine and cocktails.
