Located in the Strip District you will find a hidden gem in downtown Pittsburgh. Eleven and its New York atmosphere is contemporary, hip, and offers indoor, second-floor outside and lounge seating.
Chef Eli Wahl and his team use farm-to-table ingredients in seasonal menu planning. Every dish has its own flavor profile. The bakery team arrives early to prepare pastries, desserts, and bread all made in-house.
Start with Butternut Squash & Apple Soup garnished with sunflower seeds, coconut granola, and sage. Or a selection of local cheeses, Oysters on the Half Shell, Tuna Tartare, Crab Cake, Scallops, Mussels, Gnocchi or Roasted Farm Carrots.
Jeff gave Brian, our server, a few ideas of what we like to eat and then we let him chose his favorites for us to enjoy.
We were not disappointed.
He chose the Swordfish for me. The fish was perfectly seasoned and grilled. The accompaniments of forbidden rice and rock shrimp risotto were equally a ten on the yum factor.
Jeff’s pork chop was succulent and paired with kielbasa, sauerkraut, drizzled with a red cabbage puree and pomegranate.
Other entrees – Halibut, Salmon, Ricotta Cavatelli, Linguine, Chicken, Lamb, Strip Steak, Hanger Steak, and Beef Tenderloin.
Dinners range from $24 – $47 and served Monday – Thursday from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Sundays from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Lunch prices start at $9 – $29. You can do the soup and salad combo, Eleven Burger, Lobster Roll or entrees. There is a nice selection of salads. Lunch is Monday – Friday, 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Happy Hour is Monday – Friday, 4-6 $7 in the Bar and Lounge Only.
