So one of our friends asked us to meet them at USS Nemo in Naples. The GPS directs you to a non-descript shopping center off Highway 41. You walk into blue fluorescent up lighting and brass porthole windows with bubbling water.

Then you check out the menu and Wow. Talk about seafood with a gourmet touch and Pan Asian cuisine. For lunch, start with a corn and fish chowder or lobster bisque soup, fried calamari, or steamed clams. There is a wild wahoo Ruben, Black Grouper (crispy, blackened or grilled), brisket, fish tacos or a lunch entrée.

I chose the Grilled Yellowtail Snapper with artichokes, tomato, capers, olives, spinach, rice with a lemon beurre blanc. The plating was beautiful and the snapper melted in my mouth. I loved the Mediterranean flair of olives and other vegetables.

Locals rave about the Miso Broiled Sea Bass (pictured below) served with steamed rice, asparagus and carrot tempura with a citrus-ginger butter sauce. It was also perfectly seasoned and prepared.

Nemo’s is known for freshly caught seafood, but steak is also highly praised by locals. Seafood entrees include the signature Sea Bass, Lobster and pasta, grilled Hogfish and Bronzino, jumbo Scallops and more. There is prime tuna served blue, flash seared, medium-rare, medium or medium well. Under land selections, you can choose from Rib Eye to Veal Sweetbreads and Grilled Lobster.

Inside and outside seating. Reservations suggested. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. and reopens for dinner from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
