Split Pea Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 Ham Bone
  • 2 boxes Chicken Stock
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 4 Carrots, Peeled and Chopped
  • 3 Celery Stalks, Chopped
  • 1 Onion, Chopped
  • 4 Garlic Cloves, Whole
  • 1 Shallot, Chopped
  • 1 16-oz. bag Split Peas
  • 1 Tsp. Thyme, dried
  • 1/2 Tsp. Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Put everything into a slow cooker.

  2. Cook for 8 hours on high.

  3. Remove ham bone and bay leaf. 

  4. Immersion the mixture.

  5. Shred ham with forks and return to mixture.

  6. Serve.
