We were invited to attend a soft opening of the new local Dave & Buster’s at Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers. The family-friendly chain offers everything in a sports-bar style setting. There is a main restaurant, a sports bar, full-bar seating area, TV’s throughout and arcade games for all ages.

With a two-hour window, we headed to the restaurant to experience the food. Our appetizer to start was  Avocado Toast. The avocadoes were smashed and mixed with sriracha fire-roasted street corn, pickled red onions, Mexican Cheese topped with chopped cilantro. They were quite tasty. Other appetizers were Caesar Grilled Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Pretzel Dogs and more.

For dinner, we had the Fire-Grilled Salmon drizzled with a peppercorn garlic butter sauce and served with fresh green beans and jasmine rice.  And, the Grilled Chicken & Baby Kale Caesar served with mixed greens, grilled chicken, shredded Parmesan, tomatoes, basil, and a huge Parmesan crisp. Both were served quickly and had great flavors.

 Other menu items were Chicken & Waffle Sliders, Smashed Bar Burgers, Linguine & Meatballs, Noodles & Zoodles.

Dave and Buster’s throws parties for kids of all ages from kids birthday parties to company events and building parties. Happy Hour is 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and Late Night from 9 p.m. to Midnight on Sunday through Thursdays. Weekday Specials.
