Del Mar in Naples is like taking a food journey through the Mediterranean. The flavors make every dish unique and tasty. Located at 494 Fifth Avenue South in Naples it’s definitely the place to be seen.
For starters check out the various dips and spreads like Hummus, Baba Ganoush and Tzatziki all served with homemade pita bread warm from the oven. Or, for the lighter appetite share a Turkish Flat Bread with your significant other.
Under Cold, they offer Oysters, Shrimp Cocktail, Tuna Tartare, Salmon Crudo and Red Snapper Ceviche with orange, radish, pickled red onions and cilantro. Or order it hot with the Open Fire Roasted Shellfish Platter.
We shared the Golden Beet salad which was absolutely shareable and delish. It came with a variety of cold beets paired with avocado, apple, spiced pistachios and herb yogurt. We paired with a glass of house Chardonnay and the decadent Caramelized Onion Bread, a mouthwatering blend of havarti, asiago, EVOO and herb labneh.
You could stop there. A variety of shareable items include: Charred Octopus, Calamari, Lamb Meatballs and Fried Zucchini.
We heard the Lobster Spaghetti has quite the reputation of being good, but we selected fish for our entrees. I had the Snapper with blistered tomatoes, artichoke, roasted garlic and eggplant, cilantro pesto. And, From the Hearth we tried the Swordfish covered with marinated olives, pine nuts, confit potatoes in a saffron tomato sauce.
Mains also include: Agnolotti, Salmon, Sea Bass, Veal Chop, Lamb Rack, Roasted Chicken, Filet, Ribeye and Branzino. There is also a creative variety of vegetables to pair with your meal or enjoy on their own.
Hours are Monday 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.; Happy Hour 4-6 p.m. Monday – Friday in the Lounge.
Order online, reservations encouraged especially during season, private dining available.
