A mix of gourmet market and Italian recipes florish at DeRomo’s Gourmet Market & Restaurant in Bonita Springs. Put your name in at the restaurant and shop the gourmet market for items like fresh vegetables, prepared salads, homemade sausages, pizza, items to reheat and more. A throw from the Bronx, Francis J. Cuomo blended the two family names DeRosa and Cuomo to establish DeRomo’s. Nothing like having a little piece of Italy in Southwest Florida. All dishes are prepared with fresh-cut meats, seafood, produce and other ingredients from the market. On the appetizers menu try zuppa, a traditional Zuppa Di Fagioli, Il Carpaccio, five salads like chopped, caesar and the wedge and antipasti. Our waiter was awesome from the wine to salad to entree and dessert. We sat outside and enjoyed the sounds of fountains and waterfalls. The menu has all the Italian favorites such as traditional spaghetti and meatballs, rigatoni ala vodka, risotto, classic baked meat lasagna plus more. Items on the menu to note from the butcher include: the Vitello Chop grilled, a 16 oz. grilled veal chop, a 24 oz. grilled ribeye grilled bone in, Lombata Milanese, an Italian breaded veal chop pounded thin, pan fried with diced tomatoes and reduced balsamic glazed served with three Italian colors. Also on the menu, pasta with fresh clams garlic and olive oil and pasta with shrimp. Classic desserts finish your meal with a cannoli, tiramisu, gelato. Italian whites, reds, private labels, champagne, mixed drinks, speciality cocktails, Classic Italian Cocktails, martinis, and a beer selection.
