We chose Chops City Grill for Jeff’s birthday celebration. This steak and seafood upscale restaurant located near Coconut Point Mall in Estero. Our waiter was happy to let us dine at our own pace so we could enjoy the evening out.

For starters, we enjoyed Blue Point Oysters Rockefeller followed by Caesar’s and Heirloom Tomatoes with Burrata. I think those were our favorites of the night.

Jeff chose the prime rib end cut and I selected the filet mignon. Both were slightly overcooked but had good flavor. We were a little disappointed by the meat temperature especially since this is a steakhouse.

The place was packed when we arrived at 6 p.m. but cleared out quickly by 7 p.m. when happy hour was over. The atmosphere was relaxing and great for a major celebration of company gathering.

Some steaks are more than $60 by themselves before you add sides.
