Greek and Italian food collide at Ceno Grille in Cape Coral, Fla.
Good food, good prices, and return customers are what Ceno is known for. This little hot spot is in the same strip shopping center as Lobster Lady in Southwest Cape Coral.
There are daily specials or you can order off the menu. Specials range from Seafood Primavera at $22 to Prime Filet Mignon with garlic mashed potatoes, haricot vert and a veal demiglace for $34. There is an appetizer special, too.
For lite bites try one of Ceno’s appetizers like fried calamari, grape leaves or fried mozzarella. There are a variety of salads from Caesar to seafood and the Ceno salad with cherry tomato, walnuts, onions, cucumber, banana peppers and crumbled bleu cheese over a bed of mixed greens. You can add chicken, salmon, gyro meat or shrimp for an upcharge.
Main dishes include moussaka to penne vodka $12 – $22 with smaller portions available. You can also create your own pasta with pasta, sauce, meat, and veggies. The locals at the bar told me the Baseball Sirloin was very good. It was an 8 oz. sirloin topped with sauteed fresh spinach and gorgonzola cheese and served with greek or garlic mashed potatoes.
There are beer and wine. They could use a few more wine varieties.
Happy hour is 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Monday is BOGO pasta night.
