Chef Heath is the main man in the kitchen at Stones Throw. His past experiences include The Ritz Carlton – Naples, Bistro 41, The Mad Hatter and Coste in Diamondhead on Fort Myers Beach.

Now, he’s bringing his talents to Cape Coral at Stones Throw. The happening spot is right on the Parkway in downtown Cape Coral.

The atmosphere is rustic chic with exposed brick on one wall and wood planks on the other. You can’t miss the expansive bar with a neon Stones Throw sign above it. As the website says, “your new favorite spot is just a Stones Throw away.”

For starters try the Goat Cheese Pillows served wonton-style with a Raspberry Sweet & Sour. Our other favorite is the Lump Crab Meat Cakes with a Remoulade sauce.

There are two soups and four salads. Unlike some steakhouses, Stones Throw offers one side with your choice of USDA Choice grain fed, heavily aged beef. The smallest is a 6 oz. Filet Mignon all the way up to a 24 oz. Bone-in Ribeye.

The seafood selection is nice with Grilled Salmon, Pan Seared Scallops, Blackened Grouper, Bouillabaisse and Twin Lobster Tails.

There is a wide selection of red and white wines along with named cocktails like This One’s for Olive, a Blueberry infused Tito’s Vodka with Lemonade to the Spring Spritz, a dash of Lillet Apertitivo with a Chandon Garden Spritz.

For dessert, try the Espresso Yourself Martini on draft – J.f. Hayden’s Espresso Liqueur, Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka and Brendan’s Irish Cream.
