Sushi Sake has made a new splash in Ft. Myers, 12901 McGregor Blvd Bay. There are over 30 of these restaurants throughout South Florida. You can dine on appetizers, sushi & rolls, soups, salads, and noodles, or go all out with a hibachi-prepared dinner.

In the appetizer section check out the Dynamite Appetizer which is a combination of baked seafood on a bed of steamed white rice, or fried or steamed shrimp. From the sushi bar, which you can sit next to, you can try a combination of wahoo, tuna, and salmon with a citrus touch and sesame seeds. All the presentations are beautifully prepared.

For veggie lovers, they make vegetable tempura, steamed veggies, sweet potato tempura, and of course edamame. They serve five different soups and four salads. The sushi rolls are large and in charge. We had the Dragon Roll and the Volcano Roll which were superb. Very generous portions and expertly prepared.

They have a complete list of fresh sushi and sashimi from salmon to wahoo to scallops.

Under the dinner section, there are a variety of fried rice options, and then hibachi options from chicken to twin lobster tails. The dinners are served with miso soup or green salad, hibachi vegetables, steamed white or fried rice, and shrimp sauce.

We were too full for dessert but the tempura cheesecake looked delicious and shareable.

They are open for lunch, offer a kids menu, and are open Sunday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. For reservations call 239-208-7356.
